We are currently seeking a Field Service Leader (Operations Manager) to join our Honeywell Building Solutions team in our Perth office. Reporting to the Service Business Leader (WA, SA & NT), your focus will be managing the day-to-day requirements of the Service Team for which you are responsible, including the delivery of customer requirements, as well as profit and loss.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the high-quality delivery of services and value to Honeywell’s clients;
  • Driving improvements in responsiveness, dependability, PPM completion, on time arrival, and value for money;
  • Complete financial control of your team to the agreed Annual Operating Plan;
  • Driving growth through additional reactive spend and service projects;

  • Overall responsibility for your team, including EH&S, performance management, training and development, reward and recognition, and morale.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

  • A qualification or suitable experience within either ICT or an Electronic, Electrical, or Mechatronics field;

  • Previous leadership experience managing technical personnel.

As an Engineer – OT Maintenance, you will support the Corporation’s expansive Operations Technology (OT) infrastructure as a part of an engineering team, ensuring that it meets business objectives and service level agreements. What the role will offer:

  • Work within established Corporate configuration and change management policies
  • Undertake corrective maintenance and breakdown work (during and outside normal working hours)

Key skills and experience:
  • Degree level qualification in Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering with experience utilising Siemens Step 7 or TIA portal highly regarded
  • Considerable engineering experience and basic / intermediate knowledge across (OT) system technologies, products and platforms
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking maintenance activities across large (OT) networks
  • Appreciation of quality system requirements management principles and practices relating to the function of the area
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices relating to commissioning of (OT), instrumentation and control systems
  • Exposure to the principles of design and construction of (OT) instrumentation and communications infrastructure
  • Knowledge of the development and analysis of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PID’s)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes with stakeholders of all levels

About the Role

EOS Space Systems’ technology generally consist of large “systems of systems”, with many smaller electronic control and instrumentation sub-systems integrated to provide a broader capability. These systems may operate under manual control or in a fully autonomous capacity and significant consideration is given to environmental compatibility and reliability aspects.  The systems being controlled range from high speed sensors and piezo-actuated laser components to three phase motor controls and everything in between.

Technology development at EOS Space Systems generally involve all stages of the design and implementation process. This provides the opportunity to develop solutions, manage and/or carry out their install, and support the working products in the field producing highly regarded data products.

The position manages the EOS Space Systems’ electronics team which undertakes both the operational maintenance and repair of existing assets and the development of new capabilities.  The incumbent is expected to provide team leadership, as well as undertaking design and documentation tasks as part of the working team. This will include:

  • Manage the direction and the staff of the EOS Space Systems’ electronics team.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary systems design processes
  • Development of electronics hardware and associated firmware
  • Develop design documentation within a systems engineering framework
  • Manage project schedules
  • Manage suppliers and balance the use of subcontracted resources to achieve goals.

About You

You will be a problem solver and demonstrate attention to detail as well as strong communication and influencing skills.

It is essential to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in managing small teams
  • Experience developing and reviewing documentation within a systems engineering framework
  • The ability to solve complex systems problems in collaboration with multiple disciplines

It is desirable if you also have any of the following:

  • Post graduate qualifications
  • Experience in detailed control systems design
  • Experience in developing high quality embedded and PC based software

The Carrapateena team works a lifestyle friendly fly in fly out shift roster of 14/14. This role will be on an 14/14 Roster. We have short chartered flights from Adelaide or Port Augusta to site.

Your New Role

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for installation and preventative maintenance of all underground electrical infrastructures including HV/LV reticulation, Substations and starter boxes, Flygt and Mono pumps, UHF/VHF Comms and radios, Automine Remote loaders, Sandvik development drills and Epiroc production drills, jumbo trailing cables, ventilation systems, and underground lighting systems.

About You

  • Previous underground development experience is essential
  • Experience with Sandvik and Epiroc Drills
  • Hold a current Electrical Trade Qualification
  • A current SA Electrical Workers Licence
  • Current manual driver’s license
  • Hold a HV Switching Ticket (preferred)
  • Physically fit to pass a Pre-Employment Medical. D&A Screening + Chest X-Ray

POSITION SUMMARY


We have a casual opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Project Coordinator to join our highly successful team.

You will provide Project and Operational Support assisting with the delivery and timely execution of the Maintenance Projects and Shutdown activities being undertake in the Pilbara region of WA.  This role will be based in the Perth CBD office with some limited site travel required.

Your key requirements for the role will include:

  • Maintain project controls, progress and performance management, productivity measures, completion status, and project completion against planned outcomes
  • Develop project estimates and variations/claims;
  • Assist with contract and procurement planning;
  • Complete and report on a quantitative analysis of the project schedule and estimated cost to completed
  • Previous experience on maintenance projects and shutdowns in a similar role;
  • Prior experience on BHP sites will be highly regarded;
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Ability to develop and maintain key internal and external relationships; and
  • The ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a variety of stake holders at all levels

About You:

  • Trade or Tertiary qualification in Engineering/Construction or similar is desirable;
  • Formal qualification in project management or equivalent preferred;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the Industry, particularly within power and /or heavy industry
  • Exposure and experience with project planning, execution and delivery;
  • Have sound negotiation skills in dealing with customers and employees, with ability to influence.
  • Strong written and verbal skills; and
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite.

A fantastic opportunity exists in our Brisbane office for an experienced Renewable Energy Engineer (Wind / Solar / Hydro / BESS) to join our Power Group and be actively involved in leading renewable energy projects.

With a strong focus on renewable power projects, this critical role will allow you to develop your career further and be part of a highly capable, dynamic team.  You will provide technical support to Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne teams with GHD’s renewables projects and supporting Owner’s Engineer (OE) assignments.

This position offers a good variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Develop and significantly grow GHD’s presence and market share across the power industry, and in particular, renewables power generation projects
  • Provide support to power projects being delivered across Australia
  • Generate reports for Clients, Network Companies, and the Financiers
  • Support project managers and bid coordinators to prepare successful proposals for wining new work
  • Contributing to the overall functioning of the Business Group.

What you will bring to the team: -

  • A minimum of 5 years’ and up to 10 years’ experience in power generation with experience in consulting, including working with contractors, equipment suppliers and/or project developers
  • Knowledge of power generation plant design, equipment and technologies, operation and maintenance
  • Experience with international standards for solar farms, wind turbines, resource monitoring programs and wind & solar data measurement and analysis
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports and winning proposals
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical theories related to probabilities and data analysis

Demonstrated experience in the following areas for renewables technology:

    • Feasibility, Concept & Detailed Design
    • Technical Studies such as resource monitoring, plant layout design and optimisation, energy yield calculation and statistical analysis
    • Supporting OE teams with wind and solar construction projects. This includes occasional site-based assignments
    • Technical Specifications & due diligence
    • EPC/O&M contract reviews & evaluations (technical aspects only).

About the Role:

We have exciting opportunities for Principal and Senior Project Managers within our Victorian Connections team. You will be at the forefront of an unprecedented transformation to the energy industry, collaborating closely with new and existing generation developers to help them deliver their projects. You will lead and coordinate the end-to-end connection of renewable energy generation, battery and storage systems, and other new technologies to the Victorian Transmission Network. New customer projects and any upgrades to existing generation will also form part of your portfolio. Leading connections and augmentation processes, you will have extensive experience in project managing large infrastructure projects (ideally energy), across technical, regulatory and commercial streams, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in a changing environment.
Reporting to the manager of the Victorian Connections team, these roles can be based across all states. If successful and depending on the COVID-19 situation at the time of your commencement, you may commence working from home. AEMO provides an essential service and actively promotes flexible working arrangements within our team. Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of generator and customer connection projects across the Victorian Transmission Network.
  • Actively reshape connection processes within Victoria to recognise the role of new technologies, priorities and constraints of project developers and closely align with practical project development and delivery requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate the delivery of technical, commercial, regulatory and stakeholder engagement activities to provide structure, transparency, and predictability.
  • Active problem solving, agile approach and flexible mindset to be able to respond to unique project and stakeholder issues that require speedy resolution
  • Coordinate project delivery activities across generation developers and their service providers, key project partners, relevant AEMO teams and impacted network service providers.
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement across generation developers and their service providers, key project partners, Government, regulators and industry associations to build a common understanding and approach to connection processes.
  • Regular status reporting and communications, including chairing project steering committee meetings and other management briefing sessions.
  • Proactive identification, monitoring and resolution of key project risks and issues.

 

Required skills and experience: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business or Engineering) along with recognised project management certification.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector, including both industry and regulatory matters. Preference for experience in managing major infrastructure projects, ideally with electricity distribution and transmission networks or within utilities, energy or grid connection industries.
  • 7+ years in a project management environment managing complex engineering  processes & projects (preferable from energy/utilities sector), involving specialised engineering, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory and commercial components.
  • Ability to understand, communicate and manage complex energy engineering programs.
  • Strong expertise in managing conflicting commercial agendas and requirement for technical levels to be met.
  • Strong experience in managing numerous and complex stakeholders including project developers and their service providers, network service providers, government, regulators and industry associations.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving capability.
  • Proactive approach to relationship building within and across project teams.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver high quality communications suitable for management and external stakeholders (both written and verbal).
